Topic : Giving business opportunities to poor families.

At Amal Academy, we have given a project name as mega project in which we are divided into groups of having 8 members. All of them gave their ideas to Improve society . We exchange our thoughts and thinking in zoom meeting. The following points are main which we discuss in our discussion .

Technical education, street child education, planting trees, medicine for needy people, poverty etc,

These all are important issues of our society and we need to work on them on urgent basics. But i find the reason of all issue that is poverty and low living stranded. In Pakistan more than 40 percent people live a life below the line of poverty and due to this pandemic (covid) this rate increase day by day. Poverty is the main reason which leads to other issues like child labor, hunger, increase, beggar ratio, crimes ,violence ,illiteracy and many others.

Problem Statement

My point of ponder is that who can we change thing for a long time or fix it permanently. My main goal is to give opportunity for starting new business. Create a work place for poor people so that after sometime they are fully independent. We just have to take initiatives to start their business like Opening a General store, street food ideas like stalls of milkshake ,chips ,golgappy, ice-cream and many others. We can also help women's who don’t want to work outside their homes by training them in sewing, taking food orders, embroidery work, establish a small popular in their house etc.

Ideas💡/solutions and their benefits

I list some of the ideas which can easily applyable along with solutions and benefits.

1=street food stall

As street food become popular in asia speacially in Pakistan beacuse majority of people can’t afford resturents and hotels to enjoy fast food and resturent style food. And their are many famous dishes which are only available on stalls in very wide variety like samoosa, jalabi, golgapay,con icecream ,daal chawal, chy and many others.

These street food stalls are very popular in Pakistan and their demands increase day by day. There is no risk that whether this business make money or not. In Pakistan there are many families who live hath to mouth . They don’t have enough money to start their business. If people contribute to arrange a street stall for them and for just once start their business. Providing all the necessary things they need, then they can run it and become totally independent .

With the contribution of 2/3 families this food stall can easily buy. There also many variety of food stalls which can move form one place to others.

2= selling Dry craft

The ratio of beggars increase day by day. Instead of begging if they sell small things make this society to move toward positivity. With very little contribution we can help someone to earn money by its own. For example ,A boy can study in a school and in the break or closing time he can sell the dry craft like pencil, geometry box, copies scales etc. In this way he can continue his study along with earing money.

3=buying sewing machines for womens

The Society for Human Development (SHD) will establish one (donations permitting, two) Sewing Centers in Central Punjab, Pakistan to provide an opportunity for rural girls and women to learn a valuable, income-generating skill, enabling them to lead a life of self-reliance and dignity.. The total 75 girls and women are enrolled in Sewing Centers. Thanks to a donation of USD 2145 through Global Giving, the centers have been established and are running successfully.

We can set up some small earning source for them, like buying sewing machines for them so that they can earn money from them by sewing clothes or they can open a small sewing center or vocational training centers where they can give training to other girls interested in stitching. In this way we can build strong and large network.

4= Set a parlour for womens

We can also train women's for hair styling, makeup artists and other things include in parlor. After giving them training we can set a small parlor in their house so that they can manage their homes along with their business.

5=skills training to youth and technical education.

In Pakistan not even 4% of the total population enters into higher education and less than 1% of the population have ever received technical education and vocational training.

In Prime minister youth skills development program more than 25,000 Youth including 35% girls will be trained in demand driven trades across the country. This training will remover poverty and provide an opportunity to our youth to get employment. In order to decrease poverty, enhance employment opportunities, provide skilled workforce to large, medium & small scale industry and to meet the international labor market needs, the Government has initiated ‘Prime minister’s youth skill development program for unemployed youth belonging from lower and middle class families will be provided skill development training.

PM Imran calls upon D8 countries to expand trade, mobilise resources to tackle Covid

The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the death of over 2.9 million people, more than 250m people have become unemployed, trillions of dollars were lost as a result of global economic contraction and the virus has taken a heavy toll on poor countries and the poor in all the countries,” he said.

Developing countries, he said, were faced with the dual dilemma of saving their people from the virus as well as hunger. Today, the world “boasts” a large number of young people who are unemployed, uneducated and unskilled for the demands of the 21st century, he added.

“Our youth has not only the potential to optimize our opportunities but also overcome our common challenges. They are entrepreneurs, business innovators, technology pioneers, educators, activists, artists and journalists.

“We must create new opportunities for this predominant component of our population. Harnessing technology, promoting innovation, [and] investing in youth education, skills and training is, therefore, an urgent imperative,” the premier emphasized.

The reason of posting this recent 8 April 2021 meeting is to describe the importance of the creating new opportunities of business in our country. If we work at this social event we are not alone our government is with us. We just spread awareness about this program and engaged more and more people in this. Even if we can’t manage money still we can make a change because our government already working for this.

I share this blog with my group fellows and they highly appreciated this idea. I also try my best to give awareness about this issue people around me. Inshallah with the cooperation of government and public we can overcome this issue.

Thanks for reading.
